Childbirth Classes- $125/class-Lynnette was certified as a Childbirth Educator through BACE (Boston Association of Childbirth Educators). She has been teaching classes since 2005. This is the perfect option for anyone looking to have more one on one instruction to prepare for their birth experience or one who is looking for a flexible class schedule. Lynnette can host the class or can travel to you. She teaches "prepared natural" classes. What does this mean? Lynnette prepares parents to have a natural, unmedicated birth if they choose, but medications, interventions and cesarean sections are also discussed so that one is prepared for anything that might be encountered during a birth. Private and small group classes are available. Receipts will be issued so parents can submit to insurance companies for complete or partial reimbursement.
Refresher Childbirth Class-$30-Do you feel like you've forgotten things since your last birth? Spend a couple hours with Lynnette going over the basics of childbirth. You can discuss your previous experience and start thinking of how you'd like this experience to be different, if at all. Lynnette can also help you find ways to keep the older sibling(s) involved to avoid resentment.
Doula Services $675 (sliding scale available for those with financial needs)Doulas offer emotional, physical and informational support to families before during and immediately following childbirth. They support a family's wishes and desires and remain by the family's side throughout the birth process. The presence of a doula has been proven to improve mother and child outcomes during the birth process. Equally as important to the doula is providing suggestions, examples and ideas for the father or birth partner to stay as involved as they want to be as the primary labor support person. Lynnette's doula fee includes:- 24 hour availability, 14 days before and 14 days after the mother's due date
